Position Overview_ _
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our Accounting department located at the corporate office in Evanston, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible.
Responsibilities_ _
In this role you will:
Prepare journal entries accurately and timely as assigned
Prepare monthly account analysis and reconciliations to ensure financial statements are accurate
Complete month-end close tasks accurately and timely
Prepare audit workpapers for internal and external financial audits and other regulatory audits
Perform special projects and tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications_ _
Our ideal candidate will have:
College Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent Course Work with relevant experience
1 to 3 years Accounting experience
Experience with bank reconciliations and cash/credit card processing a plus
The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of personnel
The ability to perform several tasks at the same time
General PC ability including intermediate Excel skills
