__Position Overview__
We are currently seeking a Program Manager, Physician Residency for our Department of Medicine located at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible.
__Responsibilities__
In this role, you will:
Provide day to day administration for the Medicine Residency training program acting as a liaison between departments, divisions, residents, students and the program director, as well as supervise the education coordinator
Partner with program director and associate directors to establish, facilitate and ensure residency recruitment success, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of residency regulatory organizations, providing guidance and direction as needed and handling documentation for accreditation and regulations regarding medical education and training
Collect, prepare and distribute agenda and accurate minutes for weekly staff meeting and all medical education meetings
Maintain and coordinate the activities for the Internal Medicine Program Director and Associate Directors including calendar management, handling travel arrangements and providing administrative support as needed
Provide administrative support to students, residents and chief residents including, but not limited to, assisting with dictation and correspondence, assisting with conference preparation and coordinating conferences and lunches
Organize Internal Medicine Residency Orientation for new residents, while ensuring compliance with NorthShore hospital policies and healthcare regulations
Represent program at local and national medical education conferences/meetings, gather information for growth and maintenance of program and network with other program coordinators
__Qualifications__
Our ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma required; Bachelor''s degree preferred
3 to 4 years of office management experience or equivalent experience in administration and office management in an academic healthcare setting
Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and proficiency in employee and applicant evaluation skills
Proficiency with computers and experience with development of office management systems, including circular scheduling
Knowledge of fiscal budgets and financial resources
Professionalism in dealing with confidential information
